Warner Bros. teams with Ahearne and Lin
Warner Bros. is developing an untitled supernatural thriller feature with Brit scribe Joe Ahearne ("Trance") and set it up with Warner-based Dan Lin to produce. Studio's keeping the logline under wraps. Lin Pictures VP Jon Silk originated the idea and will co-produce. Matt Cherniss is overseeing the project for Warner Bros. Ahearne's a veteran TV scribe with diverse small-screen credits including the telepic "Trance," the sci-fi series "Ultraviolet" and the factual series "Space Odyssey." He penned the upcoming Fox Searchlight adaptation of "Trance," starring James McAvoy as an employee at an auction house who teams with thieves to steal a valuable painting who then suffers amnesia from a blow to the head. Lin's producing "Karma Coalition," "Gangster Squad," the "Sherlock Holmes" pics and "Godzilla." Ahearne's repped by ICM, United Agents and Principal Entertainment.
