Kino finds Redemption

Gotham-based indie Kino Lorber has pacted being the exclusive distributor from the cult-horror library of Redemption Films for those media within the U.S. and Canada. Under its new Redemption label, Kino Lorber is placed release a as much as 35 movies the coming year from U.K.-based Redemption on DVD, Blu-ray, VOD and digital, with broadcast airings also within the offing. Some game titles will even play theaters at repertory houses as well as in night time tests. Initial 2012 releases includes five of French helmer Jean Rollin's erotic vampire excursions in the seventies, including "The Nude Vampire," "Shiver from the Vampires of the underworld," "The Iron Rose," "Lips of Bloodstream" and "Fascination." Kino's slate of Redemption photos is going to be launched in re-mastered HD versions in line with the 35mm disadvantages. Others movies within the Redemption library include Wes Craven's 1985 outing "The Hillsides Have Eyes: Part 2," Martin Campbell's 1974 debut "The Sex Crook" and Italian helmer Mario Bava's 1970 movie "Hatchet for any Honeymoon."
