Brett Ratner Resigns As Oscar Producer
FROM MTV MOVIES: Inside a move that falls right good old adage "actions speak even louder than words," director Brett Ratner has walked lower as producer from the 2012 Oscars. Ratner posted his resignation towards the Academy of movement Picture Arts and Sciences, the business responsible for the Academy awards, on Tuesday (November 8), based on an argument published on Academy awards.org. The "Tower Heist" director continues to be making head lines in the last couple of days first, because of his comments in regards to a sexual relationship with Olivia Munn, then in a screening of "Heist," where he used a gay slur, declaring that "testing is perfect for f--s." "He did the best factor for that Academy as well as for themself," Academy Leader Tom Sherak stated within the statement. "Words have meaning, and they've effects. Brett is a great person, but his comments were unacceptable.
