Ben Stiller drawn on for BAFTA-LA kudo

StillerBAFTA/L.A. has drawn on Ben Stiller to get the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy. Presentation from the kudo is going to be made in the BAFTA La Britannia Honours on November. 30 in the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Ben Stiller is really a master of comedy who, similar to the legendary filmmaker to whom this award is known as, brings together the amazing multi-hyphenate talents of actor, author, director and producer," stated BAFTA/L.A. chairman Nigel Lythgoe. "Getting labored with him personally on a few 'Idol Gives Back' shows, I'm a lot more than delighted that BAFTA La has selected him to become listed on our other 2011 distinguished honorees." Formerly introduced honours are likely to Helena Bonham Carter for British artist of the season John Lasseter, the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Shot Entertainment and David Yates, the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Pointing.
